No outside tables! Always try to park facing the Tuckaseegee River. Watch the fly fishermen float by or maybe a Great Blue Heron fly by! Bald Eagle's have been sighted also along the Tuck!
Hate that, we frequent a lot, but as you know every place has it days, hopefully next time will be a better experience.
Ive seen an advertisement from 1976 showing various different businesses and nabers is the only business from the list still operating
First things first, this place is CASH ONLY! No debit or credit cards of any kind. I did see an ATM inside but not sure if it works 🤷♂️, fortunately I do still carry cash. This place is very nostalgic and rustic, unfortunately it’s not because they were going for the look. It’s because it’s never been renovated 😂. However the kitchen is clean, the food preparers wear gloves, and are very friendly. It’s a classic “hole in the wall restaurant “ a diamond in the rough if you will. The prices are good and the food is even better! You can eat inside or at the drive in stations. The view of the river is very nice. All in all I would definitely recommend this place, however the issues that prevented it from receiving a 5 star status was the cash only requirement and the fact that it does appear a bit run down. Eye appeal is buy appeal, not sure why some people don’t get that. But I would definitely return, the food was tasty. And it had a nice atmosphere. 🤙
We wanted a quick bite to eat for lunch so we chose nahbors. It was awful! 45 minutes later we got our food!
Loved this place since 70's...I go every chance I get.....
Love this place. Great food and the prices can't be beat!!.. Great scenery of the river while enjoying your meal
The best cheeseburger we've ever had. I went here as a kid when they had the peacocks.
Old school drive in with intercom service. Basically the original version of the thing Sonic copies. Had a double bacon cheeseburger. Was honestly a lot better than expected. Fries were on point. Got a friend or, cause what is that, and it was basically like one of those McDonalds fried apple pies. Don't need that again, but everything together was less than $10. What!? And it was pretty damn good.
Great price for the food. Me & my kids loved the multi game machine.
Love the fresh burgers, no pressed meat, real beef. Lived here 23 years and still the same great hamburger with slaw we just love.
The old fashion style is still in style. The best part is the flavor of the slaw burgers.
Old and authentic drive in. Looks rundown but that's it's character. The facility is clean and the food is great. Just what you would expect from an old time drive-in!
The food and service was very good. Will definitely be back!!!
I would give them 100 stars if I could ⭐⭐⭐ Amazing food. Hard dedicated workers. Unlimited options. Oh gosh it was amazing. Another reason to revisit NC!😁
Nice old fashioned drive up. Excellent food. Prices great!!
They were okay, we had road our motorcycle so people eat in there cars there so we went and found a place to eat to have like a picnic near the river where there. Real big river lindamuddy though
Place could be somewhat cleaner in dinning area. The flies will drive you nuts. Food was O.k.
Burger was alright Fries were terrible. Had to wait 40 mins for fries and burgers for 6.
Nice people. But my rolls had MOLD on them and my husband, who ordered a burger, and myself, who had chicken tenders, have been in the bathroom all night with a stomach ache. I understand this is a fast food restaurant with mainly fried food. But our stomachs arE usually pretty strong and this has not done us good. Cool experience but not worth the aftermath. Sorry, Nabers.
Nothing ventured nothing gained. Nothing fancy nothing to disappoint. A quaint side of the rode why would I stop there car-hop type diner. Push the button. Wait to order. Order up. Jam on your favorite tunes. Get your food. Pass over your CASH and enjoy.
I wish there were more places like this. Tasty sandwich. Friendly people. Amazing view. Affordable pricing. Nostalgic feels. 5 Stars all the way!
Great place. We always stop here when we visit Bryson City.
Worth going out of your way to eat here. BBQ and hamburgers are tough to choose between. Everything is cooked to order , so fries are really hot.
Great burgers and shakes.
They brought me the wrong order first. I had ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no ketchup, no tomato add onion. They brought a chicken sandwich with ketchup. I reiterated no ketchup again, they took it back and brought my bacon cheeseburger with slaw, ketchup and tomato. I asked the lady when I ordered what it came with and slaw was never mentioned. The onion rings were over cooked and cold. This place isn't really set up to constantly have your orders fixed when they make mistakes. Will not come back.
Nebers is a nostalgic place which brings back memories of my child hood and old soda shops. The food is amazing, and the customer service is second to none. This was a welcome treat when I moved to the area, and I am very glad my wife introduced me to this wonderful place.
Simple, no frills drive in. Good food in a drive-in greasy spoon atmosphere. Can’t beat the view with a stick! Amazing!
Odd experience. First and only visit. I pulled in, pressed the button to order. Many employees walking in & out of the building with orders, just looking at me. After sitting there more than 15 minutes with no response on the intercom and no employee acknowledging me at all, I called in an order, and literally watched as someone inside took my order over the phone. The cheeseburger was delicious.
Great burger, and great view. Our family enjoyed it alot.
They cannot handle being takeout only. Could not even order, after 30 minutes of no response we were told they were closed. Service here has always been sub par, but now I say do not waste your time.
For an old fashioned cheeseburger this is my fave place. All the way comes with slaw and the fried corn is amazing.
Friendly service, great fries
We really like their food. My crowd eats burgers, barbecue sandwiches and BLTs. We come here several times when we're in town and it's always consistently good. Prices are reasonable and we enjoy looking at the river while we wait for our food. One thing to remember so you don't get frustrated... They DON'T take credit cards, it's cash only.
Took an hour to get cold food. Wouldn't feed it to my dogs. Very slow service. Those are the good things we can say about out. We will not ever be back. We know they were busy but that is no excuse. One customer ordered after we did and got his food before us.
This quiet little place has awesome hamburgers. I even tried the fried corn on the cob it was delicious too. Difinitely a place to stop and eat. Prices were very reasonable to.
Good food nice view of the river
Absolutely amazing! The wait is a bit long, but absolutely worth it for the quality and cheap pricing.
Fast. Friendly. Inexpensive. This is a hidden gem. We were on our way to the Aquarium, and found this place for lunch. We ordered over the intercom, and the only thing that was lukewarm and ordinary were the fries. The double cheeseburger was exceptional. The all the way Chuck Wagon was tasty - a little too much mayo. The onion rings were delicious, and so was the hot dog with mustard only (no relish here). For the three of us, it was $15.23 + $3 tip. Had to try the soft serve cone that was only $1.61. Try it. You’ll like it!
The food was ok at best. The service was nice and polite
Always an enjoyable experience. I drive from the next town over just to eat here.
You absolutely must eat here. It's your standard American burger kind of place, but the food quality is amazing. It's exactly like stepping back in time. Meat is great quality, but you should absolutely try the pickles they serve. It's an option as a side.
My favorite restaurant with Wonderful food and to take a walk back in time! I have personally been going to this place over 35 years! Love it!
Awesome experience! Good food!
Best chicken tenders ive had. Chili for CCfries was homemade. They have cherry lemon mtn dew thats rockin. It was only about 10 minutes from the casino in cherokee. And was fairly good on price.
Even at full capacity food came quickly service was good and the burgers were excellent. Wouldn’t recommend fries.
Busy place, but great food and prices, waitress was friendly.
Really good slaw burgers(burgers all the way!and they have good fries.tea is really good. The establishment is in a good location, waitresses are nice and friendly!
Standard old school drive in. Great burgers and fries.
Our family has enjoyed eating at Naber’s for years. My father-in-law remembers eating here when he was in high school in the late 1950’s. He says the food is just like it was then. Great burgers and milkshakes. One of my favorite places!
The best food. Amazing people
Always good food. From Gastonia and when we come to town we have to get our Nabers fix
Classic burger stand with vintage feel. Nothing fancy just some good cheap eats. They also have a great view of the river and train.
